Pinus mugo NTC

Small tree from Slovak New Talent Competition in 2014. I planted it right in the field after the competition. After three years was the tree strong enough to go back to training pot with better substrate. I did the second styling and complete wiring last saturday on our club workshop. Its a pity that I didn´t planted it in the right position in spring 2017.

Grafted Pinus mugo, an average garden material purchased for 8 €. Pictures before and after initial styling with my mates on Danubius Bonsai Club meeting which took place two weeks ago.

My first bonsai pots - Moje prvé bonsajové misky

I tried to make my own ceramic bonsai pots during this winter period. I´m lucky that I have a good friend, professional potter, who helped me with it. I totally made 3 bonsai pots and 3 little kusamono pots. All of this presented pots were made with slab technique shown in this video. Work of this French guy is really a huge inspiration for me. So I made the body of the pots, and a friend glazed and fired them. Of course, they are not perfect, but I´m quite happy with the result. The biggest pot shaped as a cloud deformed during the drying and firing process. There are a few little cracks in some places. Hope the pots will be frost resistant. I´m planning to continue with ceramics, perhaps even before next winter :-)
Počas tohtoročných dlhých zimných večerov som skúšal vyrábať svoju keramiku. Mám štastie, že mám dobrého kamaráta, profesionálneho keramikára, ktorý mi s tým pomohol. Celkovo som urobil 3 bonsajové misky a 3 malé misky na doplnkové rastlinky. Všetky prezentované misky som vyrábal technikou spájania vyvalčekovaných hlinených dosiek, tak ako je to ukázané v tomto videu. Práca tohto Francúza je pre mňa veľkou inšpiráciou. Takže ja som vyrobil misky, priateľ ich naglazoval a vypálil. Samozrejme že nie sú perfektné, ale som veľmi štastný s výsledkom. Najväčšia miska v tvare obláčika sa dosť zdeformovala už počas sušenia a potom počas výpalu. Na niektorých je niekoľko drobných trhlín. Dúfam že misky budú mrazuvzdorné a vydržia aspoň niekoľko zím. Plánujem s keramikou pokračovať, možno aj skôr ako budúcu zimu :-)
