Beautiful beech yamadori from autumn 2010. It was a lucky find, because of its good shallow root system and interesting nebari. This tree was originally growing on the big root of another giant old beech. In 2011 I decided to remove rotten wood and make the big dominant uro. When I first planted this tree, I left too much of originally substrate on the roots. In april 2012 I dared to put the tree in a modern substrate, because the old one was too wet. I just cut some unnecessary crossing branches. This year will tree grow freely to gain strength. Only good watering and fertilizing. I will build the crown in next years. First bonsai pot in 3-4 years. I pray to all gods of woods, trees and bonsai to let me grow old with this tree :) We will see.
